And for a minor podcaster, getting a name firebrand was probably a good get. Sustaining a podcast is hard. There is so much out there. This certainly boosted her profile and income.

The vast, vast majority of actors in LA in NY flame out before thirty. A minor role on Succession is not a guarantee of a sustainable career. So people move on.

And podcasting is definitely the thing presently - Conan O'Brian, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman etc are all using podcasts for what is likely their primary source of income. Maybe this Dasha person looses some audition opportunities during pilot season because of politics, but she gets a more reliable career and income by hosting controversial people on her podcast. I don't think this is a hard choice for most people shooting for a career in entertainment.
