(I say this as a post menopausal woman)

This is the right move.
I'm mid-40s and feel terrible that my mom went through menopause in the early 2000s after the study that scared everyone away from MHT. A lot of unnecessary suffering.
I went through it.
“suffering” is a strong choice of words, but perhaps for some women it applies.
Things differ for different people. I never had PMS but I don’t doubt it exists and is unpleasant enough some women take BC to prevent having it.

If it was legitimately safe, Melania should have made the announcement. Woman to women.
I’ll wait until we have actual medical experts back in the FDA before I trust their advice.

I don't get medical advice from TikTok or people with brain worms who have clearly parted with reality.

I’m late 40s and increasingly anxious, mood swings, low energy and joint pain. No issues down there with dryness or insomnia. My OB basically said come back when you start to feel worse. But what the heck does that mean?

This is why the right is talking about with "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
It's like the seinfeld episode where George does the opposite of his instincts.
Use your brain and make decisions one at a time.
My PCP recommends starting HRT when you start feeling hot flashes -- that's the sign.
Then your PCP is an idiot. Menopause not an emergency. Just because you feel hot flashes doesn’t mean you need to run and get HRT.

Have you ever thought that 25 years later the formulation is gonna be very different and now it’s safer?

The old version was made out of pregnant horse urine. The new one isn’t and is bioidentical. That’s not to say there are no risks but it’s much safer.
They also have bioidentical progesterone.
“Bio identical” isn’t a thing.
