This is so far down on the thread list now. I’m still not convinced the issues are as big as the news has made it out to be as far as travelers. It seems the small percentage of people who are impacted by ATC reductions and resulting logistical issues (not plane or weather issues) are pretty inconvenienced but must are flying same as usual.

Probably more- will get worse as more controllers call.out sick. Won't get back to normal until a few days after the shutdown ends

You can use Flightaware to look for specific routes, it will show you all the flights and their status.

For instance, looks like 1 of tomorrow's DCA-CLE flights is cancelled.

It's statistics. Not a lot of DCUM-ers are traveling by plane at any given time, and of those, statistically, only 10-20% had flights cancelled, if we're going by official numbers. A lot more had delays and long TSA lines, I presume. So you're not going to get many posters coming on here to say their flights were cancelled.

A LOT fewer than this had cancellations.

I saw a chart that was airport specific. Newark had the most cancellations yesterday (like 26%). The DC airports were quite low - like 3-4%.

It's in the NYTimes. I can't seem to paste it in. Today's cancellation stats:

DCA: 7.2%
Dulles: 5.3%
BWI: 2.5%
