Then I ask him to look at whatever porn he is watching as a sexy thing, and he shows me this “amateur” video of this couple going to one of these hotel takeovers. They show them beforehand, and the wife is acting all nervous, etc. I think that since he watches so much of this stuff, he thinks these are kind of typical women, and I am some kind of prude. Or maybe not typical, but like 1-2 standard deviations above the mean. But these are women who are making money by having sex and putting it on the internet. The way they are acting is fake. And these little conversations are fake. And this is a very small minority of women.

Do you know what type your spouses watches?
Yes. He watches “amateur” videos. He likes ones where they have a little conversation first and the woman is all neevous about whatever they are about to do (typically invite a third guy in), and then it turns out that she actually really loves it.

Your husband doesn't have a porn problem, he has a warped sense of human sexuality between regular people. Watching porn has nothing to do with actually being interested in going to a sex hotel takeover or going to a sex resort. An "In Real Life" action like visiting one of these places takes the "viewer" out of the fantasy/not at all real world into something completely different from "at a distance" porn.
Most men who would freak out at the thought of anyone else seeing their wife naked or having sex with her in front of them.

I'm a husband who watches porn daily. I would stop in an instant if I had a wife who had the faintest desire for sex, but I don't. The porn is just a means to get off, I don't seek it out for any other reason or have withdrawal symptoms. I think a simple test for whether it is a problem is if you go on a vacation and can't get by without sneaking away to watch. That is a bad sign.

Yea, I think there’s a difference between men who use occasionally to get off but otherwise have healthy sex/relationships, and men who just prefer a screen to a real person. My ex was the latter, and even when he stopped porn to make me happy (we had sex maybe once a month, and only when I begged), he just replaced porn with spending hours a day stalking women’s FB profiles. Not even sexual stuff, just regular women. Some men just aren’t interested in women in real life.
It sounds like he is interested in women in real life, but not all women are attractive to him.

See, that sounds to me more like a dopamine addiction than a pron addiction. Pron and scrolling online blasts your dopamine receptors with large amounts of dopamine until you body deregulates them making them less sensitive. When you reach this state, its hard to have interest in anything beyond scrolling or pron. This is a major cause of ED as well.
