DC hasn't received any JHU emails. DC hasn't interacted with JHU, but has a very high SAT math score and 5's on all math and science AP exams. Plus DH is an alumni. I'm curious what metrics they use to send unsolicited emails.

Clearly your kid can’t care if is high stats, is a legacy kid, is a senior, and hasn’t done the bolded.

DC hasn't even noticed it, lol. I'm just curious what metrics JHU uses if pp's kid (who also never interacted with JHU) received emails from them but mine didn't.

JHU extended to 11/8 for my kid. Wonder if this is random or has some meaning to it.

It only means it’s their business model. They did the same thing last year, offering ED to my daughter even in early December after she submitted her RD app. They also try to convince all RD applicants to switch to ED2 in January.

The protests & Kahlil, Mamdami (NYC mayoral election) didn't help

Is his dad still teaching there?

Same for mine (11/8).

Poster: are you sure it was only to 11/4?

I was mistaken. It was extended to 11/8.

Oops sorry. JHU extended to 11/8 for my kid. Not 11/4. I was mistaken. Probably is for everyone that added JHU to their “colleges” on common app and didn’t submit any ED app.

Doesn’t the person losing it over the teacher recommendation look silly now?

No not if their school isn't offering it. Not all of them are, silly.
