Uh, how is a president supposed to STOP developing technology? As I recall, Biden called for large investments in workforce training to help people being displaced by robotics and other advanced technologies, which includes AI.
And Hillary offered to retrain the coal miners.

Trump is absolutely enabling AI to destroy the middle class. Pull the plank out of your own eye before criticizing others for their splinters.
Immigration fraud is a bigger problem, but Trump is not protecting the middle class, including with regard to AI.
Immigration fraud is absolutely nothing compared to the fraud of this entire administration. I cannot wrap my head around how you can get so upset about immigrants and poor people trying to survive, but completely ignore or accept the ENORMOUS amount of white collar crime and fraud that Trump and his entire circle of “friends” have done both in business and in government. Hopefully all of them unless MAGA eventually decides it wants to help average Americans. Even MAGA voters are overwhelmingly for ACA subsidies, so they should really be pissed at the MAGA they put into office.

We have R friends who are deep in the party. They run a small business and are dependent on ACA for healthcare. All I got is "thoughts and prayers" now.
That said, with the Rs being anti-ACA, exactly how do they think small businesses can get off the ground and survive? Who wants to be an entrepreneur when that puts your healthcare at risk (assuming you don't have backup like ACA)?
