Players move to put themselves in the best situation for high school. Roster turnover is minimal once they hit high school so 8th grade is the year.

horrible take. these rankings are extremely important in HS. The rankings determine which brackets your team get put in. The higher the ranking, the better brackets= more coaches on the sideline.
