I would be laughing hysterically inside but realize that you probably didn’t know the porny meaning of the word. I certainly wouldn’t ding you at all.

People say “sucks” all the time without really thinking about it.

I am a woman, 50, and I wouldn’t think of the sexual connotation during an interview. I am aware of the porn meaning but that is secondary to me and I probably wouldn’t even think of the double entendre during the interview.

If you thought he was talking about porn in a job interview, you should rule him out regardless of other candidates.

OP here. Not a he. I’m a woman in my late 40s. Would never intentionally talk about porn in a job interview or anywhere else.

The problem isn't that you intentionally talked about porn. The problem is you let something inappropriate slip out. Please update us on whether you are extended an offer OP! Good luck!

Ugh. I’ve been unemployed for over six months due to the whims of a man who paid off a porn actress and went on to become president. Really quite annoying. I felt like I had nailed the interview otherwise. We shall see.

Cue

Look at you thinking you’re clever by bringing politics into every discussion. You’re unemployed because people like you are exhausting to be around.

In internal meetings, we had a 60+ woman who would always use some version of the phrase “shot his wad.” We all enjoyed the unintended humor but no one talked about it.

In response to all the giggling during one stressful meeting, I stated the phrase’s non-sexual meaning/origin, which led to the woman learning the phrase had a sexual meaning.

She did not use the phrase again prior to her retirement, and we were all worse-off because of it.

OP, if you get hired, expect the bossman to have IT install some tough virus protection and blockers on your company computers and devices, and expect HR to be watching you like a hawk.

Woman in my late 40s here. I know what it means, but it's also used by people in the design and marketing fields to describe a great image that describes exactly what we are talking about or shows everything without using words.

I would definitely not bat an eye that you used that.

Really? What do you think it means???

I don't watch porn nor do I use common language. Of course, I can guess what it means. But here's your cookie for knowing so much about the phrase "money shot."

You don't use "common language" yet here you are saying something as trite as "here's your cookie". Yep, you sure are a winner.

I don't watch any porn at all, and I've always known this was what it referred to. I think people that use this phrase and don't know this are uneducated and dim.

OMFG. You cannot take that job if you get it. You’ll be nicknamed money shot for the rest of your career.
