Democrat senators are the ones keeping it shut down. The republican House and republicans in the senate have all voted to end it. The democrats are the holdouts here.

Republicans own all branches of government. It is their duty to work - not close the House week after week- to negotiate and get a deal. Instead they are doing literally nothing and trumps agencies are violating the Hatch Act with the political messages about the closure. Youngkin playing politics by blaming Democrats is offensive and I can’t wait until that Trump sycophant is gone from VA government.

The declaration is written as if it were copied and pasted from a Trump post on Truth Social. For the Republicans to come on here and insist that it’s not politically motivated is laughable on its face. Can we please be reasonable and straight with ourselves and others for a change?

Dems are trying to keep tax cuts that make health insurance cheaper for millions, get a reversal of Trump's cuts to Medicaid, and oppose spending cuts to government health agencies.

I believe it allows to reallocate funds towards snap benefits so that they aren’t cancelled or delayed
