My dishwasher uses more water and power to get the load finished quicker. You may be using more unless your brand is different.

Only guests get their dishes washed for them. Never had more than 30 guests at a time so no need for a dishwasher.
And you also fetch water from the well at the other end of the village.
It's no trouble at all, I can assure you! One of the girls does it, they don't go to school anyway.
