Growing up in a developing country, I appreciate but quite never understand the positivity sentiment that teachers here always seem to have. My 6th grader MAP and I-ready scores are ok but they are lower than those of my youngest in 3rd grade, so obviously not great. However, the teacher went on and on about how great he is doing academically and that there is nothing to improve.

We had our parent-teacher conference this week and the teacher said that MAP scores were all over the place for AAP kids at our center school - anywhere from 40th percentile to 99th - and that all the kids were doing great!
