DC reported that someone (presumably one of the girls who were brawing) lost their weave. Apparently a ton of kids filmed the whole thing and somewhere there's a video of the weave going airboren. I'm not sure if a weave is the same as a wig but if OP's daughter isn't getting into fistfights at school on a regular basis, her wig is probably safe.
Was it held in a gym or outside on school's sports field?
I’m one of the posters that mentioned kids skipping the pep rally and going to other schools Friday afternoons. The pep rally was on the football field. Not only do these kids sneak out of their school, but they enter other schools just by knocking on a door or texting a friend to meet them at a door.
Which students? Did schools send out a letter if that many students are going to other schools and "just knocking on a door..."?
Well known for years that students visit other schools during the day. The Council made Ride On buses free for kids. Easy access.

Anonymous wrote:Unless the kid has cancer what kids parents let them wear a wig. You’re jacking their brain up before it even develops. Even if she has short gnarly hair, teaching her some standard she’ll never reach is needed for contort isn’t a good look.

Anonymous wrote:DD 16 goes to B-CC. Today at school there was a fight, and a girl had her wig pulled off. DD wears a wig. She’s said that she’s a bit worried that this might happen to her as well. How do I comfort her and assure her that she’s safe? (I know that this sounds INSANE but if your child goes to B-CC, they’ll confirm it’s true!)
Anonymous wrote:That did NOT happen at BCC today, I’m sure of it.

Was it true that one of the Asst Principal slipped on it ? Hope they are okay too and no students were injured.
My kid did not see that but he just showed me a shot from a video circulating online - it does appear that the Asst Principal slipped on the weave.

Not sure but several schools had pep rallies today and kids took advantage by skipping and breaking into other schools
