My now 17 yr old and 20 yr old loved Magic School Bus. We have all the DVDs. I loved them, too.

Same, my 17 yo loved the show too. She turned out pretty normal.

My kids bring them home all the time.

+1 My 6.5 year old uses catchphrases from the books we read together! If they like something they will pick up phrases and repeat them, and it won't harm their social ability because all the other kids are doing the same thing.

Just be glad she's not saying "six SEVEN" all day long.

Its not about the show. If she was watching something else she would use those phrases. If this is truly hampering her social skills address that, not through blocking magic school bus but by addressing the issue of timing, words, etc. Your examples dont seem egregious to me.

I mean a lot of adults do this too. This is just the nature of language. How many people still say that something is rotten in Denmark and Shakespeare is over 500 years old. My kids often quote Home Alone. They also like to tell each other to “let it go” in the same sing song voice as Frozen. I think it’s a sign of cleverness.

Surprised people are saying autism… my sister is autistic and has trouble making social connections like that or understanding where phrases come from.
