My DCs child sees film every month to six weeks, or about 8 times throughout the year. It is scheduled for them and seems helpful.

20 minutes to review a game that lasts 70-90 minutes? What?
20 minutes to skim and tag. Veo has a speed run function, also a 5 sec skip not to mention the numerous AI generated clips for corners, goal kicks, etc... If you want to look at your team's buildout, filter goal kicks and add your notes. 20min to find your clips, another 30 to add your notes. That's less than an hour to prep and should make for a 45min review session. What about that is unrealistic?

Coaches should be cutting clips and showing specific moments not full games or halves. Also a coach saying “watch the film and analyze yourself” is lazy. They should have questions that players are looking to analyze. I bet majority of youth players don’t really know what they are looking for.
But they should know and reflect on their performance ie - what were the options of the pass they couldn't see in the game and why? and how to make better play etc
