If your child is old enough to sleep in a top bunk then child is old enough to make her bed and change sheets.

Very annoying.

It's a pain but much easier if you have two people--one can push up the mattress to get the sheets tucked under more easily on the top. I always found the bottom to be more of a pain but it is what it is.

Also agree with another poster who recommended getting a light mattress. It’s much easier to put on the fitted sheet if you can easily lift the corners of the mattress.

I agree with this too. Is it annoying? Yes. Is it manageable in relation to saving the space and the kids' enjoyment? Yes.

Triggered by this post even though it’s almost 20 years since I changed a bunk bed sheet. Imagine changing both top and bottom sheets after a stomach bug induced projectile vomiting - after a spaghetti dinner, 😫

You can buy zipper sheets for bunk beds.

Annoying. Very much so. Also, there's a high likelihood you'd be getting rid of that bunk bed when your kid is a preteen. They usually want regular beds by then. You'd have to disassemble that bed and move it elsewhere or get rid of it. If I were to do it again, I would've just gone straight to a regular sized bed.

I tried it at a friends place and it was very annoying. Everyone I know who has one, has their cleaners do it. Personally, I’m not a fan of that approach so we just got a regular bed. Also, I knew I would have to change it myself when my kid inevitably soils or throws up in bed.

Super, super annoying and I don’t change the top sheet as much as I would like because of it. Worse is my 8yo stores books, stuffed animals, and notebooks up there so changing the sheets requires moving all of her things.
