This +1. I don't mind been bombarded by emails and messages. I DO MIND that the QA only aims to 6th and 7th graders, and the message is in the tone that this is set-in-stone, and we are just here to educate you, not at all a community feedback session. This really annoys me. The vote won't happen in December, and what is MCPS trying to do? Gaslighting/Brainwashing the 6th and 7th graders?
They are targeting 6th and 7th grade families because they are the first groups impacted by the changes making them critical stakeholders. Being sure they are aware, hearing their concerns, questions and feedback makes sense.

Betcha the virtual sessions will have the audience on mute and chat turned off. They’ll have a Q&A option that the audience won’t be able to see. They wont answer most of the questions in the sessions and they won’t follow up about them either. That’s how the virtual sessions for the boundary studies went.

No. MCPS doesn’t want to hear from the community. They want to warn middle about what’s coming and then force this system on everyone.

They really need to slow down the programmatic changes. Maybe do one at a time. Start in a region without one of the new schools. Too much all at once is a recipe for failure on a mass scale.
