Probably $100 between costume pieces and candy. We'll happily eat leftover candy and the costume will get used after Halloween though.

I spent $38 but I probably could have gotten away with half that due to # of trick or treaters. That said - I have 3 kids and I know it will get eaten eventually.

I’m not proud of this, nor do I think it’s appropriate, I just did it without thinking and this thread made me face it.

If it a night that your family enjoys, not reason to feel badly about spending the money.

We spend a couple hundred each year on treats. We love the holiday.

Houses in my neighborhood go all out! I love it. One house has food/drinks out for everyone and candy/toys for the kids! Some have a popcorn machine, passing out jell-o shots, shots and wine coolers.

I like to buy the party favors sized play dough, stickers, kit kits and hershey bars and make little baggies.

I gave out 6 x22 bags mini m&m packets last year. Got same today at Safeway, $36 with club card.
