I would suggest writing about love of learning, curiosity, and desire to be challenged. My kid was accepted to both with not sky high scores (mid 250s MAP-R and high 270s MAP-M).

Having a super high MAP score is not everything. My kid was surprised to hear one student with MAP-M scores over 300 failed the IB AFF summer/preassessment test.

My kid’s year, the question was something like “what kind of learner are you?” She wrote about a non-school problem she had - building something that required many skills she didn’t have yet - and how she approached it and what she learned. So not specific to STEM or Humanities, but she was accepted to both kinds of programs.
