At least Kennedy believes in what he is doing. He's a kook but it's not a right wing, evil power grab. CDC and FDA are not evil or even corrupt but there's been "over definitive" health recommendations put out for a long time when, in truth, they don't know enough to be so definitive. Covid was exhibit A for this. I followed the recs because it was the best we had, but they over sold their recs time and time again.
FDA has larger problems and too often are swayed by industry or US economic interests.
I don't think we should dig our heels in just because Kennedy will oversell the folate thing. There is some science behind it.

By worked, what do you mean? What differences have you noticed in your son? Truly curious as a parent with a potential diagnosis coming for our son.

Not a scientist here but I thought the whole thing was related to a specific MTHR gene variant that causes a problem with folate metabolism. Taking the above mentioned type of folate can be beneficial to some with autism and other MTHR associated conditions but is not a cure. Is this correct?
Just a curious person who is trying to understand and no longer knows where to get unbiased information.

Leucovorin: A treatment? A rare condition called cerebral folate deficiency, where folate in the blood looks normal but the brain doesn’t get enough, has been associated with developmental differences. In children who are both autistic and have this condition, leucovorin (folinic acid) has been studied in small trials. Some studies suggest possible benefits for communication and behavior, but much more research is needed. Be wary of anyone telling you to run out and buy this.”
