Men are usually about 15 years behind women in emotional maturity. But at 36 he should be entering his mature stage.
Men also age physically much slower and are about 15 years behind women, so a 36 year old man is about the same in looks age wise as a 21 year old woman. Now here is your delimma.
He will remain very attractive to women of all ages for another 20 years, while you are entering the age where women age fast, after menopause. Will he want to stay with someone who looks much older than him? That's the test.

The man might not want to head straight into having kids and prefer to wait a couple of years. Conversely, he might want kids and be pushing the woman to try before it's too late while she might be more ambivalent.
So, it's not really the 5 year age difference. It's where the 2 of them are right now. If neither wants kids, then it's unimportant.

Pluses and minuses, though, which you have to weigh yourself. Certainly the merchandise is marked down as you approach the use by date.

DH is 6 years older than me. I hit menopause in my early 50s, and he still wanted it several times per week.
If he's low drive, then no problem.
