Wait, what sport is this

It’s ping pong. It’s a rotating grade and age formula depending on the title of the earth and lunar phase the moon is in when the mailman drops off the packages.

Yes this is basically going back to school grade. The kids born between aug and jan have the chance to play down an age group. The Aug and sept kids get the biggest benefit but are put in an odd situation given they are likely a grade ahead. girls not getting a-lot of play time now have another option.

They play down a year from what they are currently playing. So a december 2011 will join the january 2012s.

My August 2012 will likely quit if she’s force to play with younger kids. No plans for college so will just do a different sport.

Isn't it at least the same grade? If not, I think you could make a decent case to stay with the current team BUT your kid has to be good enough ability wise to remain.

Thats very silly.
She can choose to play "up" or play with her own grade.

She can only “choose” what her club offers. Especially if there’s a strong 2011 moving down.

She plays because she likes her teammates, not because she’s got a passion for soccer.

Why would she not like the new teammates? It’s good to get used to changing your surroundings and making new friends. It happens all the time in school, going to college, new jobs.

It avoids hold backs. It is actually a smarter way to do it.

It's ok to quit soccer, she is at a popular age to to move on.

And?

And? If it was to make a change, then make it to fix the issue. This does not solve it and still leaves kids trapped. Go grade year or allow each state to be based on their state's enrollment cut-off. Works great for some states, not for others.
Perfect is the enemy of good.

This has been explained ad nauseum. They don't want hold backs. This aligns with most grades (not all I know!!!!). It's still just a strict 12 months to better align with most grades (again not all!)
