For Fall of 2026, it will be easier.

2026 will be the easiest year in a while for T20 admissions.

By this graph, 2026 looks to be the peak (not 2025). So no reduction this year unfortunately.

It is because of all the 2007s/early 08s and the internationals that deferred will be back. Buckle up it’s going to be rough

So 2026 admissions should be lot easier and T20 easier to get into compared to last year.

Idk where you live but my 2023 grad had 709 in the graduating class. My 2026 kid has almost 100 more kids in his graduating class.

Fewer kids are applying to college as well, so fewer competing applications for that reason as well - 64%, if I remember correctly compared to around 72% pre COVID

I think it will be easier for entry into normal colleges - outside the top 30-40 usual suspects that everyone focuses on.

People just need to make better matched lists and not overly focus on reaches.

More US students are interested in non-US college because of the Trump effect. There is the beginning of a brain drain to international English-speaking colleges (Ireland, Scotland, Canada, UK). Those colleges will be harder to get into for Americans next year due to the higher demand.

Each passing year it will get a bit easier. Today’s high school freshmen will have a much easier time.

Yes. Our FCPS public has a senior class of 800 kids! That is not going to make things easier

This is the peak HS class for many schools around the nation.

Yes. Many 2007s are current high school seniors.

Most seniors are 2008. Did you redshirt your kid?

No - different states have different age cut-offs. In my state, fall 2007 babies are seniors right now. Not redshirting, just following the school age policy.

Wrong, last year, the last of 2025 was the peak one.

+2 2025 was peak.
