This is hyperbole. He told the casting director allegedly to remove the name but you know the main director already knew Levi. And, the casting director could have easily spoken his last name even if it was left blank. The article states that his mother Kay plays Matthew’s mom. And Levi will play the son. Come on, people.

+1 Someone would have made a call. But yes, Matthew can tell that story about the last name so no one calls his kid a nepo baby.

Plus that kid has gone to tons of events where he's been photographed with his dad. Anyone who knows how to use digital identification software could ID him in a minute as Matthew's kid.

+1,000 not to mention the rehearsal and video, and the strings Matthew pulled to get the video to the casting agent for advice and then directly to the director. He had an in already.

A - so does Matthew read lines with everyone auditioning? No

B - the tape never would have gotten to the director without Matthew making it happen.

C - of ourselves the director knew it was his son. Matthew has stated the agreement with his wife for marriage is the family would on location with him for all movies. They all knew it was his kid.

D - never thought Matthew was a good actor and never ever was good looking. Looks worse as he gets older. And get rid of the wisp of hair you call a beard.

Sorry, I don’t believe this story. Matthew got his kid in, but his kid used a different last name.
