Lananna was a great coach! Unfortunately, he is 72 and from what I've heard, he delegates to his assistants quite a bit
Just so you know, this is how track works. There's a head coach and each major area has a coach. Distance, hurdles, throwers, etc.
This thread is a great reminder that DCUM is not a great place for info.

I’m pretty sure the athlete experience is similar at each and depends on the sport.
I doubt the current UNC football players under Belicheck are expected to attend much class (outside of studying football tape).
Take your football shenanigans to the college or sports forum.
As for UVA, my best friend was a student tutor for athletes in undergrad and I will never forget she got paired with Tiki Barber to tutor him. For a meeting she told him to meet her at the Rotunda, and he didn’t know what or where that was.

A wise college coach told my older kid during a come to jesus moment frosh year - “your college experiences will allow you opportunities to focus on social, academic, and athletic paths - you need to choose two of the three, you can’t have all three” - if this is the same at UNC and UVA, which school provides the best two options?

The running community wonders why he hasn’t had the same success at uva that he had at Stanford and Oregon many years ago.

I’m sorry, didn’t they just win the ACC Championship and send a bunch of athletes to NCAAs? Margot Appleton?!?
