I've started hand washing the lids as well. I don't think it will fix the problem entirely, but it certainly extends the life.

If/when the "Pyrex Ultimate" sets reappear, buy those. They have glass lids with silicone, no plastic. Those lids hold up forever. Availability of these can be spotty. Often they reappear in the Fall and disappear after Xmas - not sure why.

Another vote for Rubbermaid brilliance. We’ve had ours for a few years and they get a lot of use. They have a good variety of sizes too.
