Truly awful company. The worst of an already awful industry.
Yeah, the aggressive UHC PR push is falling flat. They probably pay out nicely for their executives' and flacks' medical care. The rest of us get denied and stonewalled.

For example, last year I went to Johns Hopkins Community Physicians for my annual wellness check as a first-time patient. In addition to the wellness visit, I was charged extra for new patient establishment. When I took my children for their annual wellness checks and asked a routine question during the visit, the doctor answered it 2-3 minutes maybe, that was billed as a separate visit for a health problem. Additionally, the doctor frequently rely for virtual visit, although i really do not see a need for it. Couple of my scheduled virtual visit started at least 10 minutes late, it took lest than 10 minutes, yet I was billed approximately $350 for it.
It’s disappointing because the Johns Hopkins name once represented high-quality care, but now it seems more focused on revenue generation. Based on my experience, I will need to find another provider regardless they are in or out of network.

Because that’s the only insurance plan offered by my employer?

United made Capital women’s care out-of-network on Aug 1, and no deal has been reached.
