"One order of fries, please".
"Can I get some small fries for the kids?".
You can definitely order “a large fry” or “small fry”, and will probably get what you intend; but know it’s grammatically incorrect.

Customer service across the local McDonalds is pretty awful as it is , are they actually willing to make to order orders?
Yeah, this isn't worth the effort. If you are at a McDonalds, you just get what you get.
Go to 5 Guys or Shake Shack if you want made to order.

The only thing I eat from there maybe once a year are a small fry or an “icecream” cone. I do ask for hot fries.
What is this trend to where people call French Fries "fry" singular, like they are only getting ONE french fry? LMAO!
“A small fry” is an item. It’s not “a small fries.” The other PP is correct.
You are full of it.
Sorry you’re illiterate.
Okay,
Mr. Fry.

I hate tartar sauce, so when I get it, it’s fresh.
I rarely eat there, but my special requests are always hot and fresh.
What does "fresh" mean at McDonald's? Nothing. When i ask for a cheeseburger w/o mustard (because I am from the NYC area and we know that is horrid--fun fact, NYC area McDonalds don't put mustard on burgers) here in Virginia, they are not firing up the grill to make a new patty for me, they are just going to leave the mustard off when they assemble the burger using what patties they have available.
What’s wrong with mustard?
