Interesting. By that token I should be destroying a few lives. It's such a toss up--revenge now or bad karma in the next life.

If you have her phone number, e-mail address, and mailing address, you can sign her up for spam, newsletters, political campaign volunteering...etc.

Better yet, use her school address to sign her up for stuff. Let her get tons of junk mail at school.

There are some good suggestions here on how to be super petty if that’s the way you want to go. Personally I think it happened, it’s over, you’re in a better spot and you can just move on with your life.

Does your story even make sense yo you? Why would a principal in a school where teachers are leaving ever get rid of someone, good or bad? I think it’s possible you heard a bad rumor.

Ask her if things are going better now. Say that at the time you didn’t know she was so unhappy with things in your class, but now things are more transparent. Casually say that now that they’ve had time to do it their own way, you trust they’ve gotten the results they wanted.

It’s good to be positive about your life now, but don’t go out of your way with her. At all. Right now she’s living rent-free in your head. Own your current happiness and don’t dwell on how you got there.

Yep, I would add little digs on the old school. And omg, love xyz at my new school. And maybe even a concerned - oh, I hope Larla spent some time on her times tables this summer. (But not in the subject area that you teach so she doesn’t give it back to you.)

No point in calling her out explicitly as it sounds like you need to engage with her anyway.

I would not mention anything to her. I would be just as covert and sabotage her at every moment possible. In friend groups, teams, call and complain about her at work. Do not give her the satisfaction of knowing it was you.
