Yep, I would add little digs on the old school. And omg, love xyz at my new school. And maybe even a concerned - oh, I hope Larla spent some time on her times tables this summer. (But not in the subject area that you teach so she doesn’t give it back to you.)
No point in calling her out explicitly as it sounds like you need to engage with her anyway.
