Man charged with fatally shooting mother in Arlington home, police say
ARLINGTON, Va. - A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after police say he shot and killed his mother inside their Arlington home.
Logan Chrisinger of Arlington is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility.
Officers responded to the 3400 block of Fairfax Drive around 8:28 a.m. on August 17 and found Travis Renee Baldwin, 57, of Winchester, Virginia, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.

Kianmehr Shirinipaziziba,18, of McLean, VA has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder for a shooting that occurred last night in the 300-blk of Elden Street. Around 9:40 on Friday, May 23, 2025, officers responded to calls about a disorderly male subject. Shortly thereafter, Herndon PD received a call from Shirinipaziziba claiming that he had shot the subject. Upon their arrival, officers provided aid to the victim until EMS transferred him to a local hospital where he later died. Shirinipaziziba was taken into custody without incident. After interviews, including witnesses, Shirinipaziziba was charged with Second Degree Murder and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond. If anyone was a witness to the incident, please call Herndon Police Department at 703-435-6846.
INCIDENT ALERT: officers on scene of a shooting in a 300 block of Elden St. 300 block of Elden St. east is closed. Victim is transported to local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Public threat has been contained.
