This is true, but that's comparing apples to apples. That's like comparing buying a lawn mower to a car....Revolution doesn't provide a 5k ROI vs other proven area clubs. That's just the facts. Subpar club in a subpar league, that is your reality.

Kids soccer is an expense not an investment. You are not acquiring an asset. There is no return on investment any more than you would get a return on your money spent on a vacation or a Taylor Swift concert. There is a perceived value for all of them but it's highly individual. Who are you to decide what I spend my $5k on?

Taylor swift is ALMOST less than club.

Thanx Steph, your kid getting cut from neighboring clubs and you ‘working’ to reduce those $5k sure isn’t a factor LOL

There's not really anyone offering a return on investment at any of the local clubs. A $100000 scholarship doesn't really equate to the easily $100000 plus investment that parents make in these sports. VDA has the biggest recruiting class so far for 2027 and a few at other NOVA clubs. There is some intrinsic value in what the players learn that they carry with them in their lives, but dollar for dollar, don't expect any payday. Even most scholarships for soccer don't equate to the full ride.

Who is more of a 🤡?

College educated Parent A who has $20k to blow on supporting their kid in soccer.

College educated Parent B who does not have $20k saved up for college and focused on paying $3k per year to club soccer in hopes of a scholarship.

Folks need to get their priorities together and stop hating on being financially successful. I admit that those people can be obnoxious parents but having $20k to blow on your kid should be the goal of whatever you are doing 9-5.
