Sometime I might miss something at the bottom of cart and not go back in. But other than that i scan everything; but i do scan multiple items with triple click on the one so maybe there are errors there?

I do decline the checkout philanthropy though. If the store wants to give to charity, good for it, stop asking me to round up my change. I do my own giving my own way.

Side note - I have never been stopped on my way out of self-checkout, but my Latina nannies the years have been stopped frequently. They always have the receipt and are always proven truthful, but it busts my buttons to hear about this profiling and racism.

I’ve only ever not been honest twice.

Once I was buying pine nuts and put them as peanuts, and one time at the scanner some berries came up as the wrong price - I asked for the price to be corrected and they refused. When I went to tap my card to pay there was an error and it didn’t go through and voided everything and started fresh. I had already bagged up so just walked out. In my flimsy defence, this store has wrongly scanned items many many times (not showing up as sale prices), and I’ve complained already so was just kind of sick of it.

I scan everything. Exception being one time trying to scan one of those little cheese ends at WF. After trying to call someone and multiple attempts to straighten out the bar code I tossed it in and figured Bezos could eat the 2 bucks. I wasn't going to spend longer than 10 minutes dealing with what is almost their waste.
