I get it, you are seeing the writing on the wall that if this is approved you will have more work (and also make it likely you’ll have to stay late while she is leaving at 3:30 and coming in when there isn’t any urgency). If it gets approved I would speak to your manager about your concerns to be sure you are not overloaded, and you’ll have to start pushing some of the later afternoon requests to the early morning the next day. That being said, they might not approve this request.

If you aren’t sharing job duties, just keep doing your job. If someone asks for something at 4pm that she usually does you say "Sharon has left for the day, she'll get to this tomorrow". And it’s her problem if tomorrow isn't good enough.

It doesn’t sound like you need to do the things from 3:30-5, she can do them the next day.
