Load a tablespoon with peanut butter with pill hidden in center, and let him lick it off. Most dogs love PB.

Some meds may be time released but not all, so it might be OK to mix some meds with food. Best to check with your Vet or read the label on meds.

How about grinding the medication (I presume it's in pill form) and mixing it in with a soup or a broth. My dog loves chicken and beef soup.

Your dog is training you. And it’s working

You’re vulgar.

Have you tried the pill pockets?

If your dog is a food lover, what often worked for mine is pretending I am eating the pill and then either offering it to the dog or dropping it. Dog would scarf it up without tasting it.

I agree with the folks that said rotate the food. The dog is figuring out which food has the pill. Give several treats a day and change what has the pill.

Can you try to just rotate the flavor? See if the peanut butter works again after some time off?

Velveeta is a hit with my dogs. When they get bad, deli meat always works. It is a tiny expense compared to the meds themselves.

This, or a simple mortar and pestle, they are like $10 online. Or a hammer and pills in a ziplock bag. Mix with wet canned dog food.
