It now seems we may have a second on the way. Still need to confirm and I realize at my age it's likely that I won't go to term.
But if I do...I guess I need some reassurance with the possibility of having a 6 year old and a newborn at nearly 50 and DH at over 50.
My first cousin got married at 40 to a 50 year old. She had three kids naturally. The last kid she was 47 and he was 57. Last year they became empty nestors when last. went to college when she was 65 and he was 75.
Right now she is 66 he is 76 just dropped youngest off sophmore year at college She still works full time, he just retired at 75 and her Dad just moved in with them so she is helping take care of her 93 year old Dad.
When youngest graduagtes college they will be 68 and 78, they are in perfect health. They just did a 1,000 mile roundtrip last week to drop daughter off at college and unload her stuff. And my cousin owns 200 rental properties she manages. She started buying homes around 1990 and between 1991 and around 2011 bought around 10 homes a year for twenty years. I recall her at 55 with three kids aged 8-12 and working full time once closed on three houses on one day while kids in school and working from home.
You can do it. Age is nothing but a number. My uncle, who is her Dad retired at 80. Was not till 92 he got too old to live alone. Up to 89 was dating, gooing on vacations, had a GF, his wife passed away when he was 82 so he started dating and doing things for the next decade.
