I wonder if you're referring to my post, which I didn't intend to make such a statement. I believe Asian Americans are underrepresented in majors that might lead to admissions, and overrepresented in certain majors that lead to other career paths. No implication about income or prestige. For example, if you are a STEM major, you might end up as a lab tech, IT person, etc. It would be a bit more unusual to end up in admissions, unless you were social sciences or humanities.

The Dean of Undergraduate Admissions at the school DC will be attending is an Asian woman. There are at least two other Asian AOs, as well as at least one who is Black and two who are Latino/a. A quick glance at the school website shows they "the vast majority are (not) white women."

You know racism is real when you see people jump out immediately to defend racism with lousy excuses.

This seems to me to be a job where a humanities or education degree would be expected or helpful, which might explain the underrepresentation. I am guessing most STEM graduates do not consider admissions work.
