Kamala just posted this message. She is not running for governor of California. She did not rule out a presidential run. Reading between the lines, it does not sound to me like she will run. But most people in comments seem to think otherwise.
Unpopular opinion here, but I thought she was a great candidate, considering the circumstances. Trump already told us he cheated, but even if he didn’t, she only lost by 1.5 percentage points. After a whirlwind 100 day campaign and people pissed off from the get-go that she wasn’t primaried and refused to vote for her for that reason - which is no fault of her own. Sitting VPs historically do not have successful presidential campaigns.
Anyway, I would like to see what she is capable of as a candidate with a full campaign. She is, perhaps, the most qualified person in history to run for president.

Kamala outshines everyone else in the Democratic Party to such a degree that it's difficult to imagine anyone else running in 2028. Her accomplishments are unmatched. The 2024 cycle was a fluke for obvious reasons. The smart money knows that Kamala has what it takes to go down in history as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents in history, if not the greatest.

I believe that Hillary was theclvmost qualified person to run for president but we have learned is that no woman , irrespective of race, can be elected president in the US.
I used to think this, but now I’m not so sure. I think it’s too soon to throw in the towel. People just don’t trust the Clintons. Especially coming off the Obama years- he was so genuine and trustworthy, and she was in his shadow. I disagree with people saying she is unlikable though. She comes across as warm, funny, and intelligent. Likable…but pretty sketchy.
Kamala had the cards stacked against her the moment she entered the race. And had a fraction of the time other candidates have had. Plus, Trump cheated.
So I don’t think we have had the right female candidate at the right time.

DP. She was unlikable, but no question she was the most qualified person to ever run for president.

Being able to graduate law school and pass the California bar is absolutely a sign of intelligence.

Sure. Juris doctor, prosecutor, attorney general, US Senator, Vice President. So far. What a slacker. Especially compared to Trump and his silver spoon and bachelor’s degree.
Juris doctor, prosecutor, attorney general, US Senator - these are all lawyerly things. They legislate.
Can you get someone who RUNS things?

She is, but some people can’t be led by a black woman because it hurts their feelings. We saw the snowflakes melting when Obama was president, and he’s a man! However, she should run if she wants and if she isn’t pulling it off then the other candidates will be better for having run against her.
Oh puleeze stop using the race card to excuse Biden’s bad choices.
It’s all democrats do. They call names when they screw up. They will do everything to avoid responsibility.
And all this does is give people “the ick”
