This actually makes sense. If Israel wanted to eliminate the Palestinians, it obviously has the military power to do so. It hasn't. No "genocide", merely ongoing operations to free the hostages.

It took bombs dropped on Japan for them to surrender. Germany fought to the bitter end even though it meant destroying their country.

Right now Israel are the aggressors who are systematically eliminating Palestinian citizens, children, women, the elderly with their bombs, guns, and denying them food and medicine causing the kind of suffering that everyone should fear. If they surrender tomorrow Israel will continue stealth elimination of Palestinians so that there won’t be enough Palestinians to sustain a country. That’s the goal of Israel and the extremist crowds are dreaming of the day when the last Palestinian has been shot to death.


The fanaticism of the Japanese, exemplified in their typical refusal to surrender even in the face of certain defeat, changed only when atomic bombs made it crystal clear that endless civilians would die if the military kept fighting. Unlike Hamas, the Japanese bowed to the inevitable in order to preserve remaining civilian lives.

You need to think a little more. There are wars where the losers did not accept defeat. A good example was Paraguay v Brazil:

That particular war seemed irrational from the start, but then the reason that countries go to war in the first place often aren't clear either. I mean if the war was instigated by people who weren't actually interested in winning in the first place for example, maybe they just wanted to galvanize their control of the country or something. Maybe they just wanted to get all of the Muslims in America worked up.

It’s because the hardliners in Israel want to decimate and eliminate the Palestinian population. Other Israelis either want the same thing or are willing to be passive and let the extremists do their thing. Israel has been shown to consistently lie and cover up their atrocities. The US is a complicit partner. Hamas knows that if they surrender, Israel will still find a way to make life a living hell for the Palestinians

Hamas’s surrender is irrelevant. The jews will keep killing Palestinians regardless. This is a genocide. Surrendering isn’t going to stop it, so there’s no point in Hamas surrendering. The genocide is going to keep going until the world stops the jews in Israel. Hamas surrender is irrelevant to that.
