It's about the brother still not being an equal even at 30- or 40-something. And he's less equal than a teenager! It's not about the rooms, it's presumptuous and dismissive that he was asked to defer at all.

I don't see why the college kid didn't shower before leaving home. I mean after 5 hours in a car I can feel grimy, but less than an hour? And if they are that close there was no need to get there early UNLESS the entire point was to get the better room for their college kid.
So, in this case, I wouldn't be blaming the college kid as much as I'd be blaming the parents since I suspect they orchestrated this.

I can't even imagine going on vacation with people so obsessed about picking a room, especially if it's basically the same as the other one.
You've never been the younger sibling who has be $hiit on I see!

Anonymous wrote:The college kid is not a child, she’s an adult acting like a child. If she needs to shower she has access to one in her parent’s room. She should’ve dropped her stuff in one of them and waited until everyone else arrived before calling it her home for the week. She sounds selfish and spoiled and if she had that attitude with me I’d tell her she can take the sofa.
