Charades with or without a doll isn’t a board game, so why are you recommending it?

My 7 and 10 year old and their cousins play poker with us and the grandparents. The 7 year old has the best poker face I've ever seen.
We also really love Dominion, which is also a card based game, and Boggle.
Boggle is a DICE game.

Also, for young kids (early elementary), the Sleeping Queens card game is wonderful.

We also like old fashioned dominoes and Yahtzee which aren’t board games.

Lol.
I also enjoy playing classics such as Monopoly + Life - - however these games tend to run a LONG time imo.
I also like the board game Clue .
Checkers is a lot of good fun too.
While UNO is not a board game > I always love a good game (or two!) especially after a good meal.
I think it fair to say that when most people say “board games” they probably mean “tabletop games”. It’s like someone asking for a Kleenex when they mean facial tissue. Even the major board game site Board Game Geek includes card games. Would you seriously not call Boggle a board game when it doesn’t have a board just dice? Or dominoes? Carcassonne which is a tile laying game?
I don't think that's a fair assumption at all. Board games are not the same as card games. We don't call card games "board games". They all fall under the larger category of games though.

games can be played elsewhere too, not just on a table. Rug, car seat, grass, stairs, bed, etc.. How about "surface"top games?
