This! Weight loss drugs made you look haggard, especially when you’re 50+.

Wouldn't maintaining the dose that helped you lose half your body weight continue to result in weight loss? It seems nuts that your provider thinks you need to continue that dose?

Did you change your overall eating and fitness habits while you were losing? If so, I'm not sure why you would need the meds to maintain unless your metabolism is messed up to the point where you need to only eat 1000 calories (I'm larger than you at 5'4 and 120, but I can maintain this weight at 2000 calories)

My simple answer to this post was to exercise hard on a regular basis. Somehow it was deleted.

I'm 5'3" and I'm not considered under weight at 109. I'll be on this drug forever and I'm fine with that.

I hope you eat a lot of protein and lift weights. Yikes.

It's the same BMI as 5'6'' and 120 lbs: 19.5ish. I prefer 20-21 BMI for me but honestly, it's fine. You're reacting to a small #, not the # in context.

My doc considers this a lifetime drug and is not trying to wean me off of it.

Congrats on your weight loss! One thing to think about is landing at a set clothing size rather than between sizes - personally I prefer to be a couple pounds heavier and have most things fit off the rack, rather than have everything be either too loose or too tight when I try it on.

Is there a reason to do it every 10-14 days versus halving the dose and doing it weekly?

I take the brand name stuff that comes in a pen so I dont know how I would halve the dose.
