I think a box of coffee is fine but this is a good idea as well. Just get the single serve packets and have hot water ready. But I'm not much of a coffee snob, just a caffeine addict, so either would be appreciated.

By brunch (11am-1pm), I've already had morning coffee. I'd be in for a cup or 2 if it was available, and wouldn't think about it if it wasn't.
Just pick up a container from STBX or DD. They'll send you off with the sugar, cups, stirrers, and cream. It's fine.

As a non coffee, non alcohol drinker, I can tell you that most people do not abide by this, at breakfast, lunch or dinner. I usually have to ask for a glass to get water from the sink.

This is terrible advice. At standard brewing ratios, a tablespoon of coffee (6 grams) is enough for a 4-ounce cup of coffee at most.
