I'm also Indian-American and never heard of this - also, your weird phonetic spelling of how to say four hundred twenty in Hindi is hilarious

Anyone who grew up in India knows this from the Raj Kapoor film Shree 420 (pronounced Char Sow Bees).

My DH is a very intelligent man but he is stupid with money. Luckily he has me.

Anyone can make a foolish mistake in an area they are unfamiliar with.
