Obesity isn't a psychological thing or about "calories in, calories out" and exercising -- it's all about insulin resistance. If you can get into ketosis by cutting out carbohydrates and doing intermittent fasting, your insulin level will drop and your body will burn off the spare fat over time. There was a guy in Scotland who fasted 381 days and lost hundreds of pounds. For real! Google it! The Obesity Code by Jason Fung does a really good job explaining this process, and also the books by Gary Taubes. These are all available at the library and there are also tons of podcasts and YouTube videos about this.

Plus fasting will give your system a chance to heal itself. There’s a podcast on The Fasting Method too.

Stop eating. Only eat healthy small square meals. It is simple. Not easy but simple.

No. It’s not that simple

It is simple. There were no fat concentration camp victims. Calorie restriction works all the time, every time.

WTF is wrong with you????

People acting like "cutting calories doesn't work". Uh, it works 100% of the time. Just tired of people lying or overcomplicating the energy-intake portion of this equation. It is simple but not easy to push the cake away.

Exactly. I - slowly - lost my 20+ Covid weight gain by cutting calories. Jean Nidich (head of Weight Watchers) said: there is a difference between a cupcake and a green pepper. Want to lose weight? Cut calories.

OP, I am the OA EDA person. Since this thread started I have lost 3 pounds by not eating after dinner just because I am lonely.
Thanks

It's always the people who are naturally thin and whose body processes insulin correctly saying "it's so easy to push the cake away!!!" Read up on real science and not "I'm a nasty, nasty ho" science.

The fact that you would talk about concentration camps and weight loss in the same sentence is just sick. There is something wrong with you, in addition to the fact that you are clearly a huge B.

5 lbs. a month is a healthy rate of loss. Keep it up and you’ll reach your goal. DH lost a lot of weight rapidly (no drugs) a few years ago. He gained it all back and more. Now he has health problems that are really difficult to treat.

I think slower is a better way to go for most people but it takes patience.

Good luck.

DP That is what I do, but I am still overweight. It is just who I am. Big heavy bones with a decent amount of muscle, long torso and short neck will do it.

You are losing weight. Get yourself a therapist, you clearly have mental health issues. Increase your dosage.
