Wouldn't it mean less seats for new international students. Why do you think they would come from Americans? I have trouble believing schools would double the percentage of internationals.

There are degrees of intelligence. An average or above average intelligent American student has no business taking the spot of a brilliant foreign student who aced the SATs in a SECOND language and will likely excel at school and life and stay in the US and contribute to science, technology, medicine, the arts….Why is it hard for people to understand that this policy hurts America in the long run?! When I want a car, I don’t buy an American one because imo German cars are superior. Should we ban imports of superior goods next?

Looking at Pomona's waitlist....I called and the admissions office stated they "do not anticipate movement but list is not yet closed"....sigh. DC trying not to get hopes up and is very happy with current option.

Will this have a domino effect with spots opening in “lower” rated schools?
