I don't like onions, so I leave them out. Feel free to add if you'd like.
I think raw onions overpower the whole dish, and then stay with you so long afterwards that they are just unenjoyable.
They can. Any tricks on not letting them? Does chop them, or sautee them before mixing with other ingredients?

How about simply adding fresh guacamole ingredients to a guacamole recipe?
Tomatoes I’ll grant are controversial. Bacon bits are a shit suggestion. Sorry, but shit.

I don't add lime juice. It tastes better BUT it oxidizes quickly.

Sorry- shallots, green onions, red onions, I still smell it all over your breath.
I think the only solution is to caramelize them a bit. I know that doesn't vibe with the raw guacamole theme, but everything can be improved!
That sounds so gross and definitely doesn't vibe.
Caramelized onion sounds gross to you? They are a delicacy if done right.
Anonymous wrote:If you're worried about the raw onion taste what you could do is chop the onion and juice the limes first and then let the onion basically marinate in the lime juice. It will mellow the onion flavor a bit.
I personally prefer a finely minced shallot in my guac.

I love tomato in my guac. I would even consider corn in there (and bacon!). Avocados are so pesky and expensive that I love to stretch out guacamole with a lot of other vegetables so that it's a meal on its own basically. With some toast or chips or toasted baguette.
