It's weird that, due to DVRs and streaming services, the aspect of everyone sitting down at the same time to see something is basically a thing of the past. In fact, I barely watch anything now because I don’t "have" to see it at a prescribed time. And movie theaters are losing ground too. 2 just closed near us.

I think we are losing our attention span as well.

Just by algorithm,I am sent clips all the time of several series or movies. One is Outlander. That a 10 season (?) show, and because I've probably seen 50 clips in a couple of months, I can pretty well think in my mind that I've seen the whole thing and have zero patience to just sit down and watch all the years of seasons.

DD, 13, and we watch programs probably 2 nights per week and on the weekend. It is usually Jeopardy or one of the two shows she records with a movie thrown in occasionally, especially in the winter months.

Sure we did and still do sometimes. But NEVER commercial TV. Just recorded on DVD episodes of older TV programs.

Commercials are toxic.
