I prefer half smokes (spicy) with yellow mustard and pickled jalapeños. I probably have 6 of them over the course of a year.

I grew up in the 80s so my body has been exposed to all sorts of nasty processed crap. I'm still going to eat the occasional hot dog.

I love hotdogs and grill a pack once or twice a year, Oscar Meyer Angus beef, bun length.

I serve with chili and slaw.

Here is my chili recipe (different from a bowl of chili):
Brown ½ pound ground beef, add and simmer 20 min:
1/4 cup water
2Tbl tomato paste
¼ cup ketchup
1 ¼ teaspoons chili powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon white sugar, or to taste
¼ teaspoon onion powder
dash Worcestershire sauce
(Add more water for preferred consistency)

This says no amount of hot dogs can be eaten safely.

The lowest intake considered was one hot dog a day.

All I know is the typical hot dog that you buy in the store is way too small for the average bun you buy in the store so I always double up. I put a hot dog on the bun, take another hot dog and cut it in half and fit at least one of the halves (usually both) on the bun and then add my toppings. I had three (two buns) hot dogs yesterday. I went for a 2 mile walk this morning and I just got done lifting weights. Feeling great! No regrets!: )

So this post in interesting. I didn't even know there were different kinds of hot dogs out there but I follow this one account on Twitter called World of Statistics and the one day they had a list of the "Top hot dogs in the world." I saved it for some reason. Here's the list they provided:

1. Choripan
2. Maxwell Street Polish
3. Michigan Hot Dog
4. Completo
5. Polser
6. Chicago-Style Hot Dog
7. Columbian-Style Hot Dog
8. Coney Dog
9. Cachorro quente
10. Danger Dog.

Do you really think anyone reading this believes hot dogs are healthy? What? Are you going to tell us next? Smoking is bad? So people want to have a hot dog once in a while.

+1 I ate two hot dogs last night and ran 5 miles this morning, so I’m good.
