Workplace dynamics can be rough on people who don't fit in.
I work with people who create pretty strategy Powerpoints but spell the words holistic and principles wrong. I can barely talk to them because acting too intelligent is grating to them. Being silent and uncomplaining about how they marginalize me and accepting the strange mishmash of tasks I'm given is the best I can do.
I may eventually get laid off just because I'm the person who is not like all the others. I don't quit because the employer pays probably 25% more than I could get on the open market due to my seniority.
