There's one in Springfield. Kids' sports teams are in there all the time.

Rita's lemon water ice sounds like that. On a hot hot day it's the perfect viscosity and it's intensely lemon with lemon bits in it. You need to get it at the beach.


Del’s frozen lemonade is a RI treat that is perfect (basically just what it sounds like). For a while my whole dream in life was to bring Del’s to DC.

And while I’m on the topic of New England cold treats— Hoodsies! Little cups of ice cream that were half chocolate and half vanilla packaged with a wooden “spoon”.

Who else remembers the prefab sundaes in little cups with cardboard lids? I don't think they were actually as good as fudgciciles, but they were rarer.
