ALLOW? I don't allow or disallow anything my husband does. Weird.

Mine are worse than his. IDGAF what kind of hat he wears.

Ratty t shirts on the other hand always seem to go missing in the laudry . . .

I think it's unhygienic and honestly embarrassing to wear the nasty old hats, especially in public, but he couldn't care less. Baseball caps have a short lifespan before they get smelly (bacteria), sweat stains, faded and discolored, etc. It's only $20-30, so it's not a money-thing. I just don't get it.

You can wash or steam them or even use dry cleaning solution.

I’m still laughing too much at “allow” to give OP any advice. Then again, I don’t think she’s looking for that. She’s looking for the typical DCUM echo chamber to tell her she’s right.

My husband isn’t a toddler so yeah, I “allow” him to dress himself like a big boy!!

Good riddance, why are there so many weird mommy-wives on this site

If your DH wore jorts and a tank top to an event for your work, would you not say anything? If your husband walked out the door for a job interview in sweatpants and crocs would you not say anything?

Say something is very different from "allow."

You can and should say something. What you can't do is forbid, which is the opposite of allow.

This.
I don’t have a problem with baseball caps, but my husband occasionally buys shirts that are too short, so you can see his bellybutton if he doesn’t have his arms down. Those go to Goodwill.

First, why is he wearing a baseball hat? If playing baseball on a team that requires them, then wash it between games.
Second, if not on team, suggest a nice washable hat that protects from sun when outdoors if fair-skinned.
It’s not appropriate to wear a hat indoors or in the presence of a lady, elder, or dignitary.

Just wash them in a garment bag.

Mine wears hats and looks super cute in them. I love that look on him.

Allow? Haha!

If they are so gross, wash them! Or does he not “allow” you to?
